Not all "lymphatic drainage" is Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a specialized technique taught through recognized schools and training programs.
That distinction matters particularly after surgery, when established lymphatic pathways may be altered and surgery-specific understanding becomes important. The MLD Register brings greater clarity by checking evidence of training and current insurance, showing where each therapist trained, the level of training completed, and enabling patients to search by procedure and explore the surgeries each therapist reports experience supporting alongside reviews.

Recognized MLD & specialist postoperative training. Membership is reserved for therapists trained through recognized MLD schools and specialist programs. Vodder · Casley-Smith · Földi · Leduc · LTA Fill and Flush · Aftercare Academy Recognition applies to named courses, not to everything a school runs. For Aftercare Academy that is Advanced MLD & Treatment Protocols. Our Verification Standard lists every accepted course.

Individually reviewed. A person reviews each therapist's accepted training evidence and current professional insurance document before listing, with the review dates clearly displayed. A separate "Revalidated" marker shows an accepted refresher, review or update completed within the previous 24 months.

The MLD Register was born from first-hand experience within our family, reinforced by the experiences of others close to us. When specialist postoperative MLD was needed, finding an appropriately qualified therapist and the clear information required to make an informed choice proved far more difficult than it should have been.
Drawing on more than 20 years' sector experience empowering therapists and health professionals, we created the independent register we had needed ourselves - bringing independently reviewed training and insurance together with therapist-reported procedure experience and patient reviews in one considered place.

How it works
1. Apply and reserve your place
Create your account and securely enter your card details with Stripe. Nothing is charged today. Your founding place and monthly rate are reserved, subject to successful verification.
2. Tell us about your practice
Answer a few short questions and upload your recognized MLD training certificate and current professional insurance schedule. We aim to review complete applications within a few working days, then prepare your profile and draft your professional bio.
3. Review and approve
Review the profile we prepare, edit anything you wish and approve it for launch. At public launch your profile goes live and you receive your registration number, membership certificate and live MLD Register badge for your website. Nothing is charged when it goes live, because founding membership is six months free, then $19 a month.
If anything needs clarification, we explain exactly what is needed and give you 14 days to resolve it. If it cannot be resolved, or your documents do not arrive within 30 days, your reserved place is simply released and nothing is charged.
