I have worked in manual lymphatic drainage since 2014, and most of my week is now postoperative work with people recovering from liposuction, abdominoplasty and lipoedema surgery. I trained with the Vodder school and completed the Aftercare Academy postoperative programme in 2021.
Most people arrive unsure what is normal after surgery and how much swelling to expect. I will explain what I am doing and why, and I work with whatever your surgeon has advised rather than around it. If I do not think MLD is the right thing for you yet, I will say so.
